What is the Shop Pay Installments Option?

Shop Pay Installments powered by Affirm gives you the flexibility to pay for your purchase over time. At checkout, you can choose to split your total into 4 or 12 equal, biweekly installments at 0% APR – if eligible – or select a monthly installment plan at a competitive interest rate. This option lets you enjoy your purchase now without worrying about hidden fees.

How Are the Installment Options Determined?

The installment plan you see is based on the total value of your order. Smaller orders may qualify for 4 interest-free biweekly installments (over 2 months), while larger orders typically qualify for 12 interest-free biweekly installments (over 6 months). If your order doesn’t qualify for the interest-free option, monthly installment plans with a competitive interest rate will be available.

The 0% APR term (6 months/12 interest-free payments or 2 months/4 interest-free payments) will be displayed in a modal, as shown in the example below:

Which Payment Methods Are Accepted?

For interest-free orders, both debit and credit cards are accepted through Shop Pay. For orders with interest-bearing plans, only debit cards can be used.

Can I Use Shop Pay Installments as an International Customer?

Shop Pay Installments is available only to customers with a United States billing address and a United States mobile phone number.

Is There a Spending Limit?

Yes, there is an order value limit of $17,500 for purchases using Shop Pay Installments, which includes discounts, shipping, and taxes.

Are There Late Fees?

No, there are no late fees if you miss a scheduled payment. However, please note that late or partial payments might impact your credit score or future eligibility to use Shop Pay Installments.

What If I Need to Return a Purchase Made with Installments?

If your purchase is eligible for a return under our Return Policy, please contact us to initiate the return. We will guide you through the process and advise you on the refund amount. Once the return is processed, the refund will be applied to your original payment method within 3-10 business days, and your remaining balance will be updated accordingly.

If the refund amount is less than your total purchase balance, you may see fewer installments or a smaller final payment. If the refund exceeds your balance, the difference will be returned to your original payment method within 3-10 business days. Please note that for orders with interest payments, any paid interest is non-refundable.
